My Fellow Compatriots,

Probably most of you have heard the election results by now, but just in case you haven’t, “Please join me in congratulations to Commander Barrow in his successful bid for re-election.” I was one of the first to congratulate Commander Barrow and offer my support for his term of office.

I ask, urge and pray that all who supported my campaign to offer the same support for Commander Barrow’s term. His success will be our success and our combined success will be for the benefit of Our Ancestors and The Cause for which they fought.

Secondly I want to express, however inadequately, my sincere appreciation for all who supported my campaign. The experience of meeting so many Compatriots across the many States has been one of the most enjoyable times of my life. The support of so many fine men is very humbling.

While we did not prevail in this elective contest, I did see many positives. Our message received support of roughly 40% of the AOT delegates in convention. If our election system has validity in representing the membership then it would indicate similar support throughout the AOT and to some extent, the ANV and ATM also.

In all elected office, whether public or organizational once the rhetoric of the campaign is over, the victors then have duty to represent all constituents to the best of their ability. I urge all to give our elected leadership our full support which is both earned and mandated by the will of the delegates voting, but to be vigilant.

In closing, a sincere thank you to all who supported this campaign and congratulations to Commander Barrow.
